why does my ps4 keep telling me i don't have enough space when i have 100 gb

This is just a pesky situation for which many users seek a permanent fix. They try to connect their external hard drive to PS4, but the PS4 system won’t recognize it, and the PS4 external HDD won’t work. If anybody has any fix for this I would appreciate if you could comment what to do to solve the issue.Many PS4 users complain that their PS4 external hard drive is not recognized, thus not working on their PS4. Unfortunately this is very time consuming. This worked so I have been using this fix for every game ever since I first got the issue. An Xbox user said that he re-installed the entire game to fix the issue. I posted it there because this was the first time I encountered the issue so I thought it might only occur for that specific game. I posted this issue on r/ColdWarCallofDuty around 3 months ago. As soon as I try to update the game I had the same old issue even though I have 60GB available for use. I have been playing NBA 2K23 and a new update came out. This doesn't happen for every game as I was able to update Fall Guys a few days ago. When I try to update most games I will be greeted with a message talking about not having enough storage on my PS4 even though I will usually have plenty of storage compared to the update size. This issue has been happening for a very long time.
